Victim Lifelined After PWC Collision in Monticello
Monticello, IN- Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating a Personal Water Craft (PWC) accident that happened on Lake Shafer this afternoon. At approximately 12:09 pm first responders were dispatched to Lake Shafer for 4 females who had sustained injuries in the incident.
Witnesses stated 3 PWC’s were creating waves and jumping them when two of the machines collided. There were 4 occupants on the PWC’s that were injured in the collision. 2 victims were transported via personal vehicle and 2 victims were transported via ambulance to IU White Hospital. One of the victims was transported via Lifeline helicopter to Methodist hospital in Indianapolis for further medical treatment.
Injuries sustained include facial injuries, shoulder, back, and a wrist injury. Little information is known about the specific injuries at this time. Further updates will be available as more information is gained. Alcohol is not believed to be a contributing factor at this time.
