Man Wanted for Stealing Pickup & Selling it in Hopkins Park, IL arrested by RPD
On 8-9-2017 Nathan B. Simpson age 31 was brought to the Jasper County Detention Center on a warrant charging him with auto theft, a level 6 felony. This case is a result of an investigation of a stolen vehicle reported on January 11, 2016.
Probable cause affidavits say, Simpson was in the stolen orange 1999 Ford pickup when a witness saw it driving through town. Additional witnesses reported Thomas Chambers, Johnny Chambers and Nathan “Blake” Simpson in the stolen truck as the three took it to Hopkins park area and sold it. Affidavits say, Thomas Chambers admitted to Sgt. McAleer he drove the pickup truck out of the garage on January 11, 2016, during an interview on January 20, 2016. Police say the vehicle was recovered from the Hopkins Park area on January 27, 2016.
