Indiana State Police Arrest Three New Jersey Men On Marijuana Charges After Traffic Stop On The Indiana Toll Road
Steuben County-Yesterday troopers with the Indiana State Police arrested three New Jersey men on marijuana charges following a traffic stop on the Indiana Toll Road.
Around 12:30 p.m. Trooper Becky Molargik and Trooper Nick Meade observed a white Ford Explorer commit several traffic violations while it was driving eastbound in front of them. Molargik and Meade stopped the Ford for the traffic violations around the 144 mile marker. This is near the Fremont/I69 exit.
While speaking to the driver, Marcos Ramos-Jube, age 27 of Keary, NJ, Molargik and Meade purportedly smelled marijuana. A search of the Ford was conducted leading to the discovery of multiple plastic containers containing suspected marijuana, marijuana edibles, and marijuana wax.
Ramos-Jube, along with his two passengers, Nicholas Ferrara, age 27 of Keary, NJ, and Steven Dipietro, age 39 of Keary, NJ, were arrested on preliminary charges of Possession of Marijuana. All three men were transported to the Steuben County Jail.
The Indiana State Police were assisted by the Steuben County Sheriff’s Department.
