Does signing WR Dez Bryant make sense for Packers?
The Dallas Cowboys have released three-time Pro Bowl receiver Dez Bryant, throwing a big name into the market two weeks before the start of the NFL draft. Teams in need of a pass-catcher will soon be swarming. The Green Bay Packers are a team that needs a receiver. While general manager Brian Gutekunst has other holes to address on his roster, it would be relatively surprising if he doesn’t use a pick on a receiver before the third day of the draft. Could he solve the need beforehand with Bryant? ESPN.com and USA TODAY have already listed the Packers as a potential landing spot for Bryant, but it’s difficult to see how the former Cowboy makes much sense past Green Bay’s surface need at receiver.
